Deportation of Australian recommended

ADILABAD: Adilabad police has recommended deportation of Jamison Paul, a Christian preacher from Sydney after he got embroiled in a controversy relating to ‘religious’ activities in Utnoor on November 24.

He was handed over to Immigration authorities in Hyderabad on Friday by a police escort party from Adilabad.

Besides issuing a notice to Mr. Paul, Adilabad Superintendent of Police P. Promod Kumar has communicated to Andhra Pradesh government the circumstances under which Mr. Paul got entangled in the controversy and the reasons that necessitated cancellation of his visa.
