GUNTUR: The Katuri Medical College has begun general medical camps in all mandals of Guntur district to help the poor take benefit of the expertise of their doctors and take care of health problems by identifying them in time through some proper medical intervention. The camps began this week from Chowdavaram village, where the medical college-cum-hospital is located and would continue in other villages in surrounding mandals. According to press release the Executive Director Y. Rajeswara Rao said that the next camp on Monday would be organised at Ankireddypalem, followed by Obulnaidupalem on December 2, Jaladi on December 4, Lingayavaripalem on Dec.7, Kondavedu Dec. 9, Unnava on Dec. 11, Ravipadu on Dec. 14, Gotipadu on Dec. 16, Patamalaipalem, Dec. 18, Vangipuram Dec. 21, Timmapuram Dec. 23, Naidupeta Dec. 26, Pulladigunta Dec. 28, and Maidavolu Dec. 30. Katuri Heart Centre was also inaugurated recently to take care of heart disease patients and the hospital has super speciality services in Neuro Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Paediatric Surgery.
