Jayavardhan shines

VIJAYAWADA: Jayavardhan’s 79 helped South Zone score 213 for four in 90 overs and take a first innings lead of 71 runs against Central Zone in the ACA U-14 inter-zonal tournament at the ACA stadium (Mangalagiri) near here on Saturday.

The scores: Central Zone 142 for three in 90 overs vs. South Zone 213 for four in 90 overs (Jayavardhan 79, Sk. Shabbir 64, Karun Shinde 32 n.o).

Savitha Kumari to lead

M. Savitha Kumari will lead the Andhra team in the South Zone inter-State T20 tournament to be held at Goa from December 3 to 9.
