BANGALORE: South Western Railway is taking up development work at Bangalore City Railway Station to improve signalling arrangement from midnight of December 2 to midnight of December 7. Restricted speedAs a result, some changes have been brought about at the Bangalore stations for smooth movement of trains. During the said period, trains will run at Bangalore City station at a restricted speed which may lead to delay in arrival and departure of scheduled trains, said a South Western Railway press release. ChangesThe Marikuppam-Bangalore City-Marikuppam Passenger (512/511); Bangalore City-Dharmapuri-Bangalore City Passenger (SD1/DS1); and Bangalore City-Chickaballapur-Bangalore City Passenger (551/552) will terminate and originate at Bangalore Cantonment Station. The trains which will terminate and originate from Yeshwanthpur station are Bangalore City-Tumkur Passenger (225) and Tumkur-Bangalore City Passenger (222). DivertedThe trains that will be diverted are: Chennai-Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthinilayam Express (2691) will run via Krishnarajapuram and Chennasandra, without touching Bangalore Cantonment and Bangalore City stations. Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthinilayam-Chennai Express (2692) will run from Chennasandra and Krishnarajapuram towards Chennai without touching Cantonment and Bangalore City stations. The Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Coimbatore Kurla Express (1013) will run via Yelahanka, Yeshwanthpur and Banaswadi instead of Bangalore Cantonment and Bangalore City, and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 11 p.m. instead of Bangalore City. The Coimbatore-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla Express will run via Banaswadi, Yeshwanthpur and Yelahanka instead of Bangalore Cantonment and Bangalore City stations, the release added.
