Coimbatore: The Nehru Group of Institutions has instituted Best Faculty Awards in memory of its founder P.K.Das in a bid to highlight the “Essence of Excellence” in teaching. Such awards , which will be annual, will surely promote and encourage the faculty members upgrade themselves. This will make the faculty apply more innovative technologies in teaching. says a release from P.Krishnakumar, Secretary of the group. CategoryThe awards will be given separately for Senior Faculty members (40 years and above) and juniors (below 40 years) with five years of teaching experience in the fields of engineering (14 awards), management (eight) and science (14 awards) Faculty of Kerala too are eligible to apply for the awards. The awards will carry a certificate, citation, memento and Rs. 10,000. As many as 2,000 institutions in Tamil Nadu and Kerala have been sent call letters. ContactFor details, contact K.S.
