KOLLAM: The Silent Valley Samrakshana Prasthanam, led by a group of students who studied at Fatima Mata National College here 30 years ago, is organising a programme at the college on Tuesday to celebrate the silver jubilee of the Silent Valley National Park. A seminar on ‘People’s role in the maintenance of the environment’ will be organised. It will be inaugurated by Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran who was actively involved in the organisation. Actor Suresh Gopi who was also involved will deliver the keynote address.
