NRIs condemn arrest of TRS chief

NIZAMABAD: Telangana Development Forum (TDF) and the All Telangana Non-Resident Indians in the United States of America strongly condemned the arrest of Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s arrest and the police lathicharge on students of the Osmanina University.

Talking to The Hindu over the telephone from New Jersey,

Telangana Development Forum leader Sarath Vemula, said the Non-Resident Indians in the above said place took out a rally and staged a dharna in a public park in support of the TRS Telangana bandh.

He described the arrest of Chandrasekhar Rao as undemocratic and highly condemnable.

He said in a democratic State like India every person and every legally constituted organisation had right to wage agitation to achieve their goal.

‘Terror unleashed’

he said the Congress government in the State was unleashing terror to scare away the people from waging an agitation for the separate Telangana State.
