DPS Vasantkunj champion
NEW DELHI: A goal each by Tanuj Gulati and Kislay Sajwan in the second half helped Delhi Public School (Vasant Kunj) beat St. Columba’s School 2-0 in the final of the ONGC Cup Hind Kishore inter-school football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.
Tanuj Gulati scored 12 minutes on resumption after half time, by directing a long clearance into the corner of the goal. Three minutes later Kislay came up with a hard, low shot to beat a diving goalkeeper.
The winner was presented Rs. 10,000 and the runner-up, Rs.7,000. Ten players from different teams were given Rs. 1,000 each.
The president of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA), Subhash Chopra, presented the prizes.
