Rain in Thanjavur, Karur

THANJAVUR: Heavy rain lashed Thanjavur on Wednesday. The heavy downpour which started in the afternoon continued till evening. Tiruvarur district also experienced heavy downpour on Tuesday. Rainfall recorded till eight a.m. on Wednesday: Tiruvarur 75.4 mm, Nannilam 50.4 mm, Lower Anaicut 28 mm, Kodavasal 24.4 mm, Needamangalam 21 mm, Thiruthuraipoondi 20 mm, Valangaiman 18.4 mm and Kumbakonam 17.6 mm.
Karur
Sporadic and widespread rainfall was reported in several areas of Karur district during the day and later the evening on Wednesday.
