Srikanth stars for Sir Theagaraya

CHENNAI: P. Srikanth’s 109 enabled Sir Theagaraya beat Vigneswara by 105 runs in a fourth division ‘C’ zone contest of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association league held here recently.

The scores: III Div ‘A’: Galaxy 206 in 48.3 overs (S. Sickander Shareef 54, A.R. Anand Kumar 45, K. Purushothaman five for 67) lost to TSC 209 for four in 42.2 overs (S.P. Nathan 75 not out).

Netaji 199 for eight in 50 overs (V. Vignesh Raja 72, T. R. Madhavan 56, P.R. Venkat Subramaniam five for 90) bt Sridhar 186 in 49.1 overs (B. Ravishankar 68, B. Karthik (Jr) four for 66).

Reserve Bank 120 in 41.5 overs lost to Venkateswara 123 for three in 33 overs (M. Sidharath 65 not out).

Madras Emmanuel 160 in 44.2 overs (T. Marimuthu 49, P.S. Nirmal Kumar five for 53) tied with MCC 160 in 44.2 overs (T. Marimuthu five for 26).

Perambur Club 169 in 48.2 overs (V. Saravanan 52, A. Vasudevan four for 35) bt Madras Aryan Club 150 in 46.5 overs (Nithin Dharam 75).

IV ‘C’: State Bank 216 for seven in 50 overs (P. Rajiv Gandhi 65, V. Suresh 40) lost to Universal 219 for five in 44.2 overs (R. Mohana Krishnan 75 not out, M.S. Siva Kuamr 43 not out).

Sir Theagaraya 302 for nine in 50 overs (P. Srikanth 109, P. Balachander 77, S. Ramesh five for 73) bt Vigneswara 197 in 45.3 overs (S. Ramesh 53).

V ‘C’: TSR MSC 150 in 31.4 overs (P. Rajesh 63, Mahendra Purohit five for 26, E. Suresh four for 36) bt Shivaji 140 in 32.3 overs (A.T. Aswin Raj Christus four for 44).
