KOCHI: Uninor, a joint venture between Unitech and Telenor of Norway, launched telecom services in Kerala, along with several other States. Inaugurating the operations here on Friday, Stefan Kercza, hub head, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, said the Indian telecom market was offering a big opportunity, with the mobile density expected to go up to 80 per cent in five years. The subscriber base in 2014 might be one billion, out of which over 40 per cent would be youngsters. The company has five own outlets, 56 franchisee outlets and 164 distributors in Kerala. The network will be available in almost all parts of the State, he said. — Special Correspondent
