PUNE: India wound up its league campaign with a 94-45 victory over Singapore in group ‘A’ in the Asian under-16 girls’ basketball championship at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Friday. It was the third victory in five matches for the host, but it only helped the team take the third place in the six-team pool behind the power-houses China and Chinese Taipei, which had ensured their semifinals berths. India will take on Thailand in the match for the fifth place in the tournament. Japan and Korea qualified for the semifinals from the other group.
