Nine convicted in arson case

BERHAMPUR: Nine persons were convicted by Phulbani fast track court on Saturday in connection with arson during communal violence in Kandhamal district last year.

These persons were found to be guilty of burning down houses at Penala village under G. Udaygiri police station on August 28, 2008. They were punished with three years of imprisonment and fine of Rs. 4,500 each.
