Personnel being trained to solve cyber crime cases 120 police stations in State have cameras in place Hubli: Additional Director-General of Police (Crime and Technical Services) Om Prakash has said the State government had allocated to Rs. 1 crore to the Police Department for purchase of scanners to be installed at several police stations across the State. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, Mr. Om Prakash said the department had installed the scanners at 120 police stations across the State. And the allocation would be used for procuring more such scanners for the police stations. Data bankHe said that the scanners helped in building a data bank of the fingerprints of the culprits and the networking would help the police personnel in immediately identifying the perpetrators of the crime. In reply to a query he said police personnel were being trained as to how to solve cyber crime cases. The personnel were being imparted training besides being given information on cyber laws and detection techniques. Hubli Dharwad Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar said training sessions were being held on a regular basis and a team from Reserve Bank of India had come to Hubli on Friday to provide information on financial frauds and how to investigate them.
