Entrance test
BANGALORE: The Geological Society of India is conducting an entrance test on January 24 in 21 cities to select 20 students to attend a training camp in Earth Sciences at Bangalore. Four students from this camp scheduled for May 2010 will represent India at the 4th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) to be held from September 19 to 28 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Students of Standard 10 and 11, who were born between September 15, 1992 and 1995, and who have not participated or won a prize in an earlier IESO are eligible for entry. Students should send their applications to the Foreign Secretary, Geological Society of India, c/o Department of Marine Geology, Mangalore University, Mangala Gangotri (Dakshina Kannada) 574199, on or before December 20.
