Justice Mudgal takes charge

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Governor Lt. Gen. (retd.) S. F. Rodrigues with the newly appointed Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Mukul Mudgal at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on Saturday.
Chandigarh: Justice Mukul Mudgal on Saturday took oath as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court at a simple ceremony here.
He was administered the oath of office by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator General (retd) S. F. Rodrigues at the Raj Bhavan.
Prior to his new assignment, Justice Mudgal was a judge of the Delhi High Court.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Nirmal Singh Kahlon, judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and senior civil and police officers were present on the occasion. PTI
