On December 8, the test will be held in a morning session in 20 cities, including Hyderabad HYDERABAD: Prometric and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) have extended the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 till December 8. The exam was scheduled to run for 10 days from November 28 to December 7, 2009. On December 8, the test will be held over one morning session in 20 cities including Hyderabad. The test was disrupted in some labs in some centres in the city and students who might face problems on Monday are likely to be given slots on the extended day. “We understand and regret the additional stress and inconvenience caused to candidates who have not been able to take the test on their scheduled day due to technical difficulties,” said Ramesh Nava, vice-president & General Manager, Asia Pacific, Japan & Africa, Prometric in a statement here. CAT Candidate CareIn response to feedback from candidates, Prometric has also extended the hours for the CAT Candidate Care number (1800 103 9293), added more telephone lines and Candidate Care agents to accommodate the high volume of calls. IVRSBeside, the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and phone support will also be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the testing period, the statement added.
