Mumbai: Rajasthan’s Ashok Meenaria has been named captain of the India Under-19 team for the ICC Under-19 World Cup to be played in New Zealand from January 16, 2010. The 15-member team will play a few matches in South Africa before travelling to New Zealand. India is in group ‘A’ with England, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The team: Ashok Meenaria (captain, Rajasthan), Mandeep Singh (vice-captain, Punjab), Mayank Agarwal (Karnataka), Akshath Reddy (Hyderabad), Harpreet Singh (Madhya Pradesh), K.L.
