SAI selections

KURNOOL: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will undertake admission trials for boys to the residential and non-residential categories in basketball, handball, Taekwondo and hockey (non-residential only) at the SAI Training centre on December 21 and 22. The winners or runners of sub-junior nationals, junior nationals, school nationals under 19/17/14, recognised national level tournaments and inter-zonal competitions are eligible for the admission.

Under category II, Navodaya Vidyalayas, representing district, State and CBSE National Championships, best players of district and school-level competitions with extraordinary height will be given extra weightage. The age and height limits for category II are under 14 years -- 165 cm, under 16 (175 cm) and above 16 years (182 cm).
