Kolar SP gets bail

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Monday granted bail to the Kolar Superintendent of Police, who was caught by the Lokayukta officials while accepting a bribe from a constable. The Lokayukta had trapped Superintendent of Police K.P. Puttaswamy on November 27, 2009, when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 35,000 from a constable for doing a favour.

The SP had moved for bail before a lower court in Kolar which was rejected. — Staff Reporter
