JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday issued instructions to the State Mission on Livelihood to work in coordination with divisional employment offices across the State to provide guidance on development of skills to unemployed youths from rural areas. Presiding over a meeting of the Mission here, Mr. Gehlot said each employment office would have an earmarked space for the Mission where the latter’s representatives would provide information about employment and training opportunities. He said the Mission should expand its activities in the villages to benefit the skilled and unskilled workers there. Mission’s Project Director Rakesh Malhotra said about 340 professional training programmes were being conducted at present in various districts in association with the government departments and non-government organisations. The trainees are apprised of new techniques for earning livelihood in programmes of 40 to 90 days.
