VIJAYAWADA: Sitting in the cool environs of Andhra Loyola College (ALC), he has done the city proud by publishing 108 papers in international scientific journals. Durga P. Ojha is a tireless researcher whose outstanding work in science and technology has been recognised with many awards and honours. Dr. Ojha will now receive the Bharat Jyothi award from the Bangalore-based International Integrity Peace and Friendship Society in recognition of his contribution to research in science. One of the past recipients of the award includes former president Giani Zail Singh. Described as an outstanding theoretical researcher in the field of liquid crystal technology, Dr. Ojha presently has on hand nearly four projects worth Rs. 70 lakhs, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
