DD live phone-in programme for ryots

Anantapur: Doordarshan, Anantapur, will be organizing a live phone-in programme for the benefit of farmers on December 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30 on the Sapthagiri channel.

Noted scientists B. Gopala Reddy will enlighten farmers on several issues besides speaking on the subject - better management practices and cultivation of high yield rabi vegetables - on December 9, V. Ramulu, senior scientist, will speak on - water management and humidity preservation practices - on December 11, K. Venugopala Naidu will speak on - pregnancy related problems and womb related diseases - on December 16, M. Malla Reddy will deliver a talk on maize cultivation and improved cultivation practices on December 18, T. Penchalaiah will enlighten farmers on crop insurance on December 23, D.C. Ramana will lecture on crop cutting methodologies on December 25 while C. Sudhakar Rao will create awareness on orange plantations management.

Agriculture Assistant director Faheem in a press release urged farmers to take full advantage of the programmes.
