NEW DELHI: Ravi Rathore struck eight goals to guide Cavalry White to a 11 goals to 5-1/2 victory over Army Polo and Riding Club (APRC) in a league match of the Amity Cup six-goal polo tournament on Thursday. Arjun Patel scored the other three goals for Cavalry White, which qualified for the knock-out and set up a semifinal clash against Sahgal Stud/Sona. Rakshit Agnihotri scored three goals for APRC which had started with 2 1/2 goals handicap advantage. In another league encounter, Sahgal Stud/Sona beat Cavalry Black 9-6, following fine marksmanship by Gaurav Sahgal (4), Rajesh Sahgal (3) and Abhimanyu Pathak (2). Jagat Singh (3) and Vishal Chauhan found the target for Cavalry Black which enjoyed a two-goal advantage on handicap.
