For your choice: Visitors at a stall in the exhibition organised by Corporation Bank at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam in Coimbatore on Friday. Coimbatore: A three-day Home and Vehicle Expo by Corporation Bank commenced at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam here on Friday. Mayor R. Venkatachalam inaugurated it in the presence of Mahendra Ramdas, president of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Deputy General Manager V. Thangamuthu also took part in the programme. A.R.K. Prasad, Assistant General Manager, said that a total of 32 stalls were being occupied by prominent property promoters while three stalls by automobile dealers. The attractive offer at the home loan expo was that the loans were provided at 8 per cent interest for the first year, 9.5 per cent for the second and third year while from the third year the prevailing rate of interest would be applicable. Loans were offered from a lowest of five years to 25 years depending on the earning age of the borrower. Under the car loans, the rate of interest was 8 per cent. In the first two-and-a-half hours, 60 prospective buyers registered for getting advances. The expo is open till Sunday.
