Panel of experts to explain phenomenon

Pre-registered television channels to telecast it

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Science and Technology Museum will make arrangements at the Kanakakunnu Palace to enable the public to view the Solar Eclipse on January 15.

Solar filters will be sold as well at the venue. Two or three units of solar scopes will be set up at the venue to enable visitors to track the Eclipse.

A panel of experts in astronomy will give narration and explanations in Malayalam. Visitors can also clarify doubts with the experts.

Pre-registered television channels will be permitted to telecast the events. The registration is meant to avoid overcrowding at the site. The Museum clarified that there was no harm in taking food during Eclipse. It was arranging solar cookers/ovens and would provide solar cooked food items to the visitors during Eclipse. Foreign tourists would be considered separately with special guides. If required, special arrangements would be made subject to feasibility.
