Party leaders garland the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and pay floral tributes Former Minister T Jeevan Reddy launches scathing attack against Vijayawada MP

MAHABUBNAGAR: A huge victory rally was taken out in Mahabubnagar on Sunday by the district units of NSUI and Youth Congress. The rally which was led by Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and D.K. Aruna, started from R&B guest house. The rally also extended thanks to the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for initiating the process of separate Telangana. The rally after covering main thoroughfares in the town culminated into a public meeting at clock tower centre in the town. Several leaders including Jupally Krishna Rao, D.K.Aruna, M.Jagannath, S.Jagadeeshwar Reddy, S.Prakash, D.Vittal Rao exhorted the people of the State for formation of separate Telangana. The speakers termed the resignations tendered by some MLA’s as blackmail politics. Thank SoniaKarimnagar Staff Reporter adds: The District Congress committee leaders took out a massive victory procession in Karimnagar on Sunday hailing the leadership of AICC president Sonia Gandhi for initiating the process for Telangana state. Minister for Higher Education D Sridhar Babu, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Peddapalli MP G Vivekanand, Zilla Parishad chairman A Laxman Kumar, legislators A Mohan, S Satyanarayana, A Praveen Reddy, former Ministers Jeevan Reddy, J Ratnakara Rao, Mayor D Shankar and others participated in the victory procession. The rally culminated at Rajiv Gandhi statue where the party leaders garlanded the statue and paid floral tributes. Former Minister T Jeevan Reddy launched a scathing attack against Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for claiming that the Andhra region people had developed the Hyderabad city.
