Community certificate is a right, says Karunanidhi
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi on Sunday said it was the DMK government that issued community certificates to denotified communities in all districts, recognising them as a Most Backward Class (MBC).
Addressing a conference organised by the Moovender Munntera Kazhagam, led by Sridhar Vandayar, to thank Mr. Karunanidhi for issuing an order in this regard, the Chief Minister said a community certificate was not just another certificate, but a right.
“There is no need for me to issue the certificates. But a situation existed in Tamil Nadu and you are not able to get the community certificates,” he pointed out.
