Rahul Singh slams century

HYDERABAD: Century by Rahul Singh (139) helped Cal Public School record a convincing, 113-run win over Gowtham Model School ‘A’ in the semifinal of the HCA knock-out (under-14) cricket championship here on Sunday.

The scores: HCA under-14 knock-out tournament: Semifinal: Cal PS 336 for six (Rahul Singh 139, Vishal Jude Phillips 78, D. G. J. Chaintanya 51 not out, Rohit Bharadwaj three for 67) bt Gowtham M S ‘A’ 223 for three (M. Yashwanth Reddy 56 not out, Charan Sai Teja 54 not out, Srikanth 37).

A-Division (one-day) league: Vijay Bharathi 190 (Charan 51, Vamsi 61) bt Apex CC 112 (Mohsin 48, Seshagiri four for 44, Chandrasekhar five for 16); St. Mary’s 164 (Rana Kalyan Goud fvie for 50) lost to LNCC 167 for nine (Jithender 62 not out).

Abhinav Colts 194 for eight (Shaukar 57, Vishal 50, Karol Vaz five for 59) bt Vijaypuri Willowmen 127 (Ian Gager 53, Moiz Damani five for 10, Shezil Jiwani four for 30); Adams XI 225 for nine (Irshad Ali 76, Vikram four for 43) bt Tarakarama 140 (Irshad five for 55, Ilyas Zubaidi four for 45).
