Patna: A Bihar court on Tuesday sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment in connection with a murder for dowry at Koeri Bigha village in Patna district more than five years ago. Additional District and Sessions judge Narsingh Prasad found them guilty of murdering Pinki Devi on February 28, 2004 for her parents’ failure to meet their dowry demands. Prasad awarded life term to Pinki’s father-in-law Chandrika Mahto, mother-in-law wife Binda Mahto, husband Udai Kumar and four others in the case.
