PUDUCHERRY: British Council has lined up a series of events on Thursday and Friday about pursuing education in the United Kingdom. Meeting with principals and placement officers of key educational institutions to discuss educational and research links, partnerships, a seminar for prospective students and networking with educational agents will be conducted. A seminar on “Studying and Living in the U.K.” is being organised at Hotel Atithi, No. 126, S.V. Patel Salai from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. It will provide an insight for parents and students on educational opportunities in the U.K. including scholarships, International English Language Testing System and student visa procedures. Students can register on the spot to attend the seminar. Entry is free. Limited seats are available on first-come first-served basis. Prior to the seminar, students who wish to clear their doubts on an individual basis about application process could meet the Education Counsellors from the British Council from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hotel on the same day, a release said.
