EVMs fed with details

Gearing up: Candidates’ names and symbols being fed into EVMs on Wednesday for use in the byelection to Tiruchendur Assembly constiuency.

Tuticorin: The work on incorporating the names and symbols of the candidates into the electronic voting machines for the by-poll to Tiruchendur Assembly constituency was carried out at the Revenue Divisional Office, Tiruchendur on Wednesday in the presence of Poll observers, Veerendra Kumar Meena and V.J. Kurian.

For 196 polling stations

D. Ravichandran, District Revenue Officer and Returning Officer to the bypoll, along with B. Packiam Devakirubai, Revenue Divisional Officer and Principal Assistant Returning Officer prepared the the EVMs meant for 196 polling stations incorporating the details of candidates.

The Zonal Officers and the representatives of the contesting candidates were present.
