District judge transferred

GUNTUR: District judge S. Sivaiah Naidu has been transferred and posted as Registrar General of High Court. In Guntur district during his tenure he had disposed of 12,000 cases.

Mr. Naidu was appointed as District Judge in May 2007. Among the notable achievements during his tenure were reducing the pendancy of cases from 53,000 to 42, 0000 and establishment of a railway court, family court and a district court at Narsaraopet.

A court was also established at Piduguralla.

The Guntur court will complete 100 years of its setting up in 2013.
