GUWAHATI: Andhra slipped badly in its second innings after a rousing start and ended the third day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Plate Division semifinal match at 153 for five at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday. Andhra was 40 runs ahead with five wickets in hand. Earlier, Assam, resuming at 235 for six, added 92 valuable runs in the morning before being all out for 327. The day belonged to Assam opening batsman Dheeraj Jadhav who carried his bat through with a fabulous 165, his 14th first-class century from 59th matches. The 30-year-old from Maharashtra was too good on the day.At stumps, captain B. Sumanth and G. Shankara Rao were unbeaten on 18 and 12 respectively. The scores: Andhra — 1st innings: 214.
