Coimbatore: District Collector P. Umanath on Tuesday dedicated Rs. 8-lakh costing neo-natal Intensive Care Unit at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital and took part in the bhumi puja for the construction of a 5,000 sq ft paediatric operation theatre complex.

Rotary District Governor K.K. Mathews, Hospital Dean V. Kumaran, Resident Medical Officer P. Sivaprakasam, President of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Satellite S.P. Raamanathan and Secretary Saravanan Vellayan, Project Chairman Christopher Arvinth and others took part.

The operation theatre at an outlay of Rs. 50 lakh and the ICU is funded by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Satellite.
