Relief announced

ADILABAD: Adilabad district administration on Saturday announced relief under ‘Apatbandhu’ to the victims of ghastly road accident at Kupti ghat road in Neredigonda mandal on Friday night.

Zilla Parishad chairman Sidam Ganapathy, Asifabad MLA Atram Sakku, Collector Ahmad Nadeem, RDO K. Krishna Reddy and other officials visited RIMS where the dead bodies and the injured were brought.

Heart-rendering scenes were witnessed at the RIMS, Adilabad on Saturday when bodies were handed over to relatives after conducting post-mortem. Two of the injured had succumbed late on Friday, while undergoing treatment.

Four of the 25 injured were shifted to Hyderabad, as they were found to be in a critical condition.

The dead were identified as Dommati Anil, lorry cleaner, P. Chinnaiah and his wife P. Rajamma of Bazarhatnoor, J. Siddharth of Ghoti, Md. Abdul Saleem, a local photographer and his wife Naseem Banu, bus driver Jadhav Subhash, Nalla Rajeshwar, a class IV employee at the DPO office, T. Venkata Ramanaiah and a young couple D. Amruth Raj and Sripriya from Nirmal.
