HYDERABAD: Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan has appealed to the people not to become emotional either for Telangana or an integrated State but express their views in a peaceful and democratic manner to facilitate the Union government find a solution to the satisfaction of people of all regions. Addressing a media conference after his return from New Delhi here on Saturday, he made a fervent appeal to common people not to resort to indefinite fasts and think of their families lest something should happen to them. Fasting political leaders would get all the attention and care unlike common people who were at greater risk, he cautioned. Game plan exposedLashing out at the main political parties for using people’s emotions to further their selfish ends, he said their fickle mindedness led to the current crisis. However, one positive fall out of the crisis was it made people see through the game plan of different political parties. He urged youth and students not to succumb to emotions and spoil their future. Dr. Narayan, who discussed the political crisis in the State and possible way out with the United Progressive Alliance and opposition leaders at Delhi, said Lok Satta based on its discussion with them was confident that the Centre would soon come out with an announcement to satisfy people of all regions. Reiterating that bifurcation of State should not be viewed as a calamity nor formation of a new State as solution to all ills, Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan said there was no magic wand with anyone to satisfy both the demands. The only way forward was for people and political parties to restore peace and come to the discussion table.
