Police told to trace missing girl

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Friday directed the superintendents of police of Shimoga and Chikmagalur districts to investigate the matter relating to a girl reported missing from her grandparents’ house at Honahalli in Chikmagalur district.

Srinivas of Godikoppa village in Shimoga had filed a habeas corpus petition seeking direction to the police to trace his daughter, who, he claimed, had been forcibly taken away by a Muslim youth.

The court took note of the submission of the State and asked the police to trace the girl and produce her before it.
