BANGALORE: Kannada Vaidya Sahitya Parishat has chosen nine books on medical literature for Kuvempu Vaidya Sahitya Award. The books of renowned authors C.R. Chandrashekar, Someshwar, T.L. Devaraj, H. Girijamma, V.R. Padmanabha Rao, Gururaj Arakeri, P.S. Shankar, Padmini Prasad and G. Purushottama published from 2002 to 2008 were selected for award. Vaidyashastra Sahitya Special award will be conferred on T.S. Sathyanarayana Rao for his book Dhampathya Vaidya Shastra and to N. Vishwaroopachar for his life time achievement. The award presentation function will be held on December 26 at Government Arts College Auditorium here. – Staff Reporter
