2 rhinos killed

GUWAHATI: Two one-horned rhinos were killed by poachers in the Kaziranga National Park, officials said on Monday.

With this, the number of this endangered species killed at the park in Assam this year rose to 14. The carcasses of the rhinos, a full grown male and a female, were recovered, with their horns missing, in the Agartoli range. The poachers had entered the park posing as visitors and killed the female rhino on Sunday night. — PTI
