Chennai: Asif Ali’s all-round performance (three for nine and 44 not out) helped Gymkhana Club post a nine-wicket win over Mylapore Club in the final of the Presidency Club Twenty20 Cup tournament held recently. The scores: Final: Mylapore Club 101 in 20 overs (Subikhan Vallabhan 40, Manish Gupta four for 10, Asif Ali three for nine) lost to Gymkhana Club 103 for one in 16.3 overs (Asif Ali 44 not out, A.P. Suresh Kumar 30 not out). Semifinals: Mylapore Club 158 for four in 20 overs (Aravind Subramanian 39, Sandeep Srinivasan 50 not out, Ashwin 48 not out) bt Alumni Club 120 for seven in 20 overs (D. Girish 35, Abhinav 38 not out). Gymkhana Club 94 for four in 15 overs (Asif Ali 40, Gulshan 39) bt Presidency Club 84 for seven in 15 overs (Manu Nassan 30, Dheeraj Jain 25, Bhishm Sahi three for 19).
