Bust of Rajaji to be unveiled tomorrow

The bust of Rajagopalachari.
KRISHNAGIRI: Information Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi will unveil the statue of Rajagopalachari at his birth place in Thorappalli, near Hosur, on Thursday. The late statesman’s 131st birth anniversary will be celebrated on that day.
The bronze statue was installed at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh at his house last month by the Information and Public Relations Department.
The Minister will also give away welfare assistance to the tune of Rs. 15 lakh through various departments on the occasion. Collector V.K. Shanmugam will preside over the function.
