Reverence marks ‘Nagar Keertan’

HYDERABAD: A huge colourful ‘Nagar Keertan’ (holy procession) was taken out by the Prabhandak Committee of Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda, to mark the 344th birthday celebrations of tenth Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh, on Tuesday.

As part of the Nagar Keertan, community members carried the sacred Guru Granth, the revered scripture of Sikhs, on a beautifully decorated vehicle followed by religious flag-bearers

The procession passed through Guru Nanak Marg, Bazaar, Afzal Gunj Siddiambar Bazaar, MJ Market, Jambagh, Putlibowli before returning to Gurudwara Saheb of Gowliguda. Shabad Keertans were rendered by the Keerthani Jathas of men, women and youth groups, a release from the Central Gurudwara, Gowliguda said.
