Residents’ plea

Residents of Bharathiar Road here have appealed to the Chief Minister to consider widening the road to ease traffic.

A resolution to this effect was passed at a meeting held recently. While the meeting thanked the Chief Minister for deciding to set up a world-class botanical garden at prison grounds, the need to widen Bharathiar Road, adjacent to the proposed garden site, was also expressed. Traffic on the road was expected to rise further after the garden is opened for public.
