VPT sets record

Visakhapatnam Port has set an all-time record in unloading of ammonium nitrate in a day.

A release by Visakhapatnam Port Trust said 8,174 tonnes was discharged on Saturday from m.v. Pontonostos at East Quay-7 surpassing the previous best of 7,007 tonnes on March 24 last.

The cargo was imported by Solar Capitals Ltd. Integral Trading & Logistics and Esskay Shipping Services were respectively the stevedores and steamer agents for the vessel.
