State-level coins and stamps exhibition

Managers of www.kkhobbies.com are organising the event

The two-day exhibition will begin on December 26


HYDERABAD: The managers of a website, kkhobbies.com, are organising a State-level Coins and Stamps 2009 exhibition on December 26 and 27 at the British Grammar School campus opposite the Sikh Gurudwara lane in Secunderabad.

The exhibition will be open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will be inaugurated by neuro-surgeon D. Raja Reddy, an eminent numismatist and authority on Deccani coins. Dr. Reddy has written nine books on ancient coins and has published 25 articles on the subject. A souvenir will also be released on the occasion at which coins and paper money collector M. Kesava Rao and analyst D.V. Hanumantha Rao will be present. One exhibit will be coins of the Roman, Gandhara, tribals, Ishkwakas, Bahmanis, Nizam Moghals, Bijapur and Khushans, apart from those from the U.K., Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Bahamas and Ukraine, said kkhobbies.com secretary Khadar Khan.
