KOLLAM: The Kerala Revenue Department Staff Association has called for the immediate implementation of the second phase of the Revenue Department’s modernisation programme. The demand was raised at the Kollam taluk union conference of the association held here on Wednesday. The conference called for the restructuring of employee pattern in village offices “since they experience shortage of staff.” More posts have to also be created in the other Revenue Department offices. The conference was inaugurated by State secretary of the association G. Jayakumar. New office-bearersThe conference also elected new office-bearers. They are B.P. Ani, president, A. Noushad, secretary, T. Vikaraman Pillai and B. Baby vice presidents, R.B. Shine and Jinshad, jont secretaries, and P. Anil Kumar, treasurer.
