Festival at Thiruvairanikulam temple

Nedumbassery: About 50 lakh devotees are expected to visit the famous pilgrim centre of Thiruvairanikulam Maha Deva Temple near here for the 12-day long festival of ‘opening of sanctum sanctorum of Goddess Paravathy’. The festival will begin on December 31. The annual ceremony will begin with a procession starting from Akavoor Mana carrying the holy ornaments of Lord Siva and Goddess Paravathy to the temple. During the festival, the temple will be remain open from 4.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Bookings for special offerings can be made at the booking counter in the temple complex .
