KOCHI: More than 750 complaints were received by the Kerala Water Authority from its various sub-divisions in the district that would be brought up before the Water Adalat on January 5. KWA officials are in the process of collecting data on each complaint by making necessary enquiries and field visits for enabling the decision-making authority to reach a proper decision. The Water Adalat would be held with a bench that would have powers of the Kerala Water Board. Consumers having problems in faulty water meter reading, bills for periods without water supply, high bill because of leakages, complaints regarding dues, disputes of domestic and commercial connections or mistakes in billing are among complaints that would be taken up at the Adalat. The Minister for Water Resources, N. K. Premachandran, would participate in State-level inauguration of the adalat.
