dated December 28, 1959: Bhilai Plant

The Bhilai steel plant which is in the final stage of construction, is likely to be expanded with Soviet assistance during the Third Plan, it was learnt in New Delhi on December 26. The blue-print of the plant already provides for doubling its capacity from one million tons to 2.5 million tons annually.
